Keane age 5 raises funds for charity

Hello I am Keane this is my page on the blog.

I have spent my own pocket money to buy items and I have made them into little goody bags,I call my goody bags "Keane's Komfort Kreations." This is my own idea and my own money I have used, the only help I had was Nan made me the toppers to go onto my goody bags.Everything else is done by me,I have just posted off my first order by mail today and that was for 12 bags though I have sold a few more at the shop.

As I am just 5 years old I am not allowed on here all of the time because Mum says I can't as I have to have time to play as well,I have been playing pool today with my brother Reece. He lets me win just sometimes.

I have raised funds for Angel Children since I was 3 years old just by selling my old toys and walking the the jingle bell walk and saving pennies in a smartie tube, but I wanted to do more so my goody bags are helping me do that. I sell my goody bags for just £1.00 each but you must pay the postage yourself as I can't afford that.

This is me at the angel children shop selling my goody bags
I will keep you up to date of what I am doing, but if I can't my Mum or Nan will let you all know what I am doing with my fundraising.

If you have any questions I have my own page on the Angel Children website,I am allowed on there if anyone wants to ask me anything about my goody bags.

Oh and I wanted all the words to start with the letter K that's why I called them Keane's Komfort Kreations

Keane's Komfort Kreation Goody Bag
Each goody bag has 5 things in it.
1 colouring book,1 pack of colouring pencils,1 little toy and 2 kinds of sweets. All are just fun size things. The picture is over there >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>

If you want to buy any of my goody bags go to the Angel Children Website they can be bought on there in packs of 12.

If you want to buy less than 12 please message my Nan on facebook or leave your comments on here, and you could always support me on here by the support button.

My Nan has helped me write this,as I didn't really know what to put but I have typed it all in myself Nan just helped me with what to say.

Please could you all share this with your friends as then maybe more people will want to buy my goody bags and help me to raise funds. Thank you all for supporting me from Keane.

Update: 13/11/12 I have sold 78  goody bags can you help me reach 100?

Free Comfort Boxes for Bereaved Parents

Angel Children are giving away FREE comfort boxes to bereaved parents.

I personally know the heartbreak that comes when a parent loses a child,it is heartbreaking, devastating, the worst thing in the world and it feels like someone has ripped out your heart, stamped all over it and you will never ever be the same again.

Some of your friends and even family stop talking to you, cross the road rather than stop and speak to you,so you not only lose your child but you can lose family, friends, and really, you lose life the way you knew it.

The Angel Children team would like to change that, well maybe not change, but bring a little comfort or a smile or two in the face of the grief you are suffering. We will choose two bereaved parents each month from all nominations entered which can be male or female as the bereaved dads out there need a little comfort too.

We are now taking nominations from the public, so if you know of a bereaved parent get your nomination in.

Start date for nominations : August 16th 2012

End Date for nominations : September 16th 2012

All you need to do is nominate a bereaved Mum or Dad that you think deserves a little comfort, tell us a little of why you think your nominee should be given a comfort box above other nominees. The rules are simple your nominee must be resident in the UK as at this moment in time Angel Children only support bereaved families in the UK.There is no age limit on this so your nominee could be grieving loss through miscarriage, still birth, toddler, young child/teenager or young adult. PLEASE NOTE: You can not nominate yourself.

We understand all bereaved parents deserve a little comfort and would love to give to them all,but we can't,but just to bring comfort to even some would all be worth it. As we already provide most parents with a mini headstone or memorial plaque to mark the child's resting place we thought it would be nice just to offer a lovely comfort box as a way of showing we care.

Who do you think deserves this Free comfort box?

 Comfort Box Contents:

1 x pack of forget me not seeds
1 x Angel Magnet
1 x Bag of Love (Includes poem)
1 x Cherub on feather
1 x Angel key ring
1 x Angel mobile phone charm

1 x Comfort Tissue

PLEASE NOTE: This is not available to Anonymous users

Please add your nominees in the comments section below I will need a valid email address to enable me to contact winning nominees,I ask you not to leave email addresses on the blog but to contact me through our facebook page Our Children in Heaven UK.

Should these boxes become popular we may increase the giveaway from monthly to fortnightly depending on our funds at the time.

Angel Children are a non profit organisation, support to ourselves is always appreciated and welcome.

Follow this blog ........FREE comfort boxes for siblings coming soon

Don't forget to share this blog with other bereaved families so all get a chance to enter

Can I please just ask you all to add which site your from Facebook,Twitter,Angel Children Etc so I will know where to contact the winners. Thank you. Please feel free to add me on Facebook it may make this a little easier for me to know where each person is from.

Could I please ask everyone to share this blog the more people see the blog the more people we can help

Reasons to support us

Angel Children help and support many families in the uk by providing one of our mini headstones to parents who have lost a child, the mini headstone is a temporary measure and is placed at the child's forever bed, until a forever headstone can be erected.

We also support with the funding of a child's forever headstone. We need help to enable us to keep supporting these families. We are a non profit organisation which means we get no government funding, so totally rely on the public's generosity and support.

Here are two of the reasons we need your support.

Kade Jordan Paul Pilmore

We are supporting Kade's family with the funding of this beautiful little Angel's forever headstone.

Our Angels in Heaven

Ryan James Foden lost his life to brain cancer on 17th January 2009, he was 18 years old.

Ryan's wish was to help other people,he was training to become a carer here is Ryan's story

Ryan was born on 14th July 1990. At the age of 2 years Ryan was diagnosed with Autism but he coped well with this.He got on with life as best as he could although there were some things that Ryan could not do but this never bothered him at all.

He went on to attend a special school making lots of friends along the way.He never complained about anything, he was always smiling and wanted to help others like himself when he got older. That was Ryan's wish.

Ryan can no longer fulfill his own wish,so I as his mum have to make his wish come true for him,in his memory.
I am trying my best to fulfill Ryan's wish and have set up an Angel Children Grief Share Support Group in the Ashfield area of Nottinghamshire in memory of Ryan. This is a support group run by bereaved parents and siblings for bereaved parents, siblings their relatives and friends. Anyone wishing to join our group is more than welcome.

Ryan went on to attended college in Tynemouth where he befriended lots of disabled young adults, although by now Ryan was wheelchair bound himself, he still helped those who needed it more than him at that time.In 2008 sadly Ryan was diagnosed with a genetic terminal Brain disease called vanishing white matter. He became used to his wheelchair and also got used to the fact that he was losing the use of his limbs, speech and everything else that this disease affected.

Ryan was loved by everyone who came into contact with him and loved everyone in return. He loved classic cars and Newcastle United Football Team and met quite a few of the players. He loved a wide range of music he especially loved queen. But most of all Ryan had a wish to help others.

Sadly Ryan was rushed into hospital in late December 2008 where he was diagnosed with a massive brain tumor, collapsed lung and pneumonia. We all made him as comfortable as we could but sadly Ryan fell asleep and gained his Angel wings on 17th January 2009.

Ryan's wish was to help other people
Ryan's legacy is Angel Children, providing free mini headstones to parents after child loss.
